The questions buyers settle before they start.
Short and to the point: what Synadesk is, what it can do, how it integrates, and where the key answers for a clean start live.
Getting started
What is Synadesk?
Synadesk is your AI employee in the front office – on your website and over the phone; the phone channel is included in every plan. She answers questions, captures details, qualifies requests, clarifies the desired service and books, reschedules or cancels the right appointment – afterwards your team receives a clear summary by email and in the Cockpit. Status enquiries are possible from Pro, as soon as a suitable business system is connected. She also works outside your opening hours, when phone and office are unstaffed.
Is Synadesk a chatbot?
No. Synadesk uses a chat widget as its interface, but is built as an AI employee for the front office. The value comes from front-office work: classifying, checking, preparing, executing or handing over to humans.
Does Synadesk replace my employees?
No. The AI employee takes on the front-office work that otherwise piles up or interrupts: answering enquiries, booking appointments, capturing requests – around the clock. Anything that needs human judgement she hands over to your team with a summary and contact details. She doesn't replace your team – she has their back.
What makes Synadesk different from an AI phone assistant?
A pure AI phone assistant only works on the phone. Your AI employee is present on your website and on the phone (phone channel in every plan), uses the same knowledge base and the same appointment book – with no extra booking tool: she books, reschedules and cancels appointments with identity verification, receives documents in the chat (from Pro) and runs your cases. After the conversation, the work is done or cleanly handed over to your team – not just noted down. And that is true today, not “coming soon”.
Does the AI understand Swiss German?
Yes – whatever the dialect: callers simply speak Swiss German on the phone. Your AI employee understands them and replies in clear High German – one answer everyone understands. The same applies in the text chat. And if someone speaks French, Italian or English, she answers in that language.
Is Synadesk available in English?
Yes, for your visitors: the chat widget works in German, English, French and Italian, and the AI employee answers in the visitor's language. The operator side – the Cockpit, onboarding and the emails to your team – is available in the same four languages; you set your own interface language in your account. The same goes for the phone: she answers in the caller's language – German, English, French or Italian – and understands Swiss German (replying in High German).
What can the AI employee do on the phone?
She answers calls around the clock, introduces herself as an AI and answers questions from your business knowledge. She books appointments right in the call; rescheduling and cancelling are only possible after identity verification – if an email address is on file, the caller confirms with a one-time code. From the Pro plan she also gives status information on ongoing orders over the phone – only after identity verification of the caller. Everything else she records as a request or call-back wish for your team. On the phone she answers in the caller's language – German, French, Italian or English; she understands Swiss German and replies to it in High German.
How is Synadesk integrated?
After set-up, customers receive a website snippet. The allowed website domains are set, then the widget is embedded on the customer's website.
Integrations
Which integrations are available?
Synadesk booking and team handover are included in every plan and need no external provider. In your customer account you configure services, availability, team inbox and the allowed website domain. Google Calendar, Microsoft Bookings and webhook/API you connect and test with your own account or system. bexio is wired in as a beta connector and is tested against permissions, data scopes and tasks before go-live. PROFFIX, Abacus and SAP are not activatable standard integrations today; for these we assess an individual integration project.
How do integrations work?
Google Calendar, Microsoft Bookings and webhook/API you set up yourself in your customer account: store access, test the connection, define the tasks. With the bexio beta connector you additionally test permissions and data scopes. PROFFIX, Abacus and SAP require a separate, individually assessed integration project and are not activatable standard integrations.
What is a webhook – and what can I connect with it?
A webhook is a web address of your system to which Synadesk automatically hands over completed requests – for example a new lead or an enquiry. Every handover is cryptographically signed, so your system can verify it really comes from Synadesk. It connects systems that can receive the documented Synadesk webhook payloads directly or through an adapter – for example your own middleware or automation platforms like Zapier, Make and n8n.
Do I have to set up integrations myself?
It depends on the integration. Synadesk booking and team handover need no external provider; services, availability, team inbox and the allowed website domain are configured in your customer account. Google Calendar, Microsoft Bookings and webhook/API you connect and test yourself. bexio is a beta connector and needs a permissions, data-scope and task test before go-live. PROFFIX, Abacus and SAP cannot be activated as standard integrations today; a possible connection is assessed as an individual integration project.
What does “reachable for external AI assistants” (MCP) mean?
In every plan you can enable your AI employee for external AI assistants via the open MCP standard (opt-in). Then, for example, a customer's ChatGPT or another assistant can prepare appointments with you or leave a message – with an explicit confirmation requirement before every booking, the same limits as in the website widget, and full traceability in your customer account.
Pricing & subscription
What does Synadesk cost – and what is included?
Four plans: CHF 149, 290, 590 and 990 per month (excl. VAT); paid annually, that is an effective CHF 125, 245, 499 and 839 per month. Included are 300, 800, 2'000 and 6'000 text conversations respectively, plus 200, 400, 1'000 and 2'000 phone minutes per month. In every plan: website widget with chat and voice call in the browser, the phone channel around the clock, appointment booking with confirmation and reminder for your customers, in four languages and with a calendar attachment (as soon as an email address is on file), Google Calendar and Microsoft Bookings both ways, webhook and API (via Zapier, Make or n8n too), MCP access for external AI assistants, widget colours in your brand tone, an adjustable personality for your AI employee, team accounts with no per-head surcharge, with roles for settings, billing and the team, MFA sign-in and an audit trail over security- and privacy-relevant events, the Cockpit with work list and daily report, and the in-house chat (owner sessions count against the same conversation quota). From Pro, document intake after identity verification and status information from your connected business system are added; on Business, the full white label. Add-on packs cost CHF 29 per 100 conversations or 100 minutes and do not expire; your own phone number costs a one-off CHF 290 for activation. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies from first activation.
What does an additional team account cost?
Nothing. Accounts for your team are included in every plan, with no per-head surcharge – with roles and permissions that decide who may manage settings, billing and the team, with MFA sign-in and with an audit trail over security- and privacy-relevant events. You pay for the plan, not the number of people.
How does billing work?
You start with the trial period: 30 free test conversations and 10 voice minutes in the browser – no time limit, no credit card, and it does not end automatically. Only when you go live do you activate your plan directly in the customer account by credit card; billing runs securely through Stripe, monthly or yearly. Invoice with Swiss VAT shown included; your contracting partner is NeuraTech AG.
What counts as a “conversation”?
A conversation is one coherent exchange between a visitor and your AI employee – no matter how many messages go back and forth. Every plan includes a monthly quota (Small 300, Basic 800, Pro 2'000, Business 6'000).
What happens when the monthly quota is used up?
Live operation pauses until the quota resets the next month – there are no automatic extra costs. If you want to continue earlier, you book an add-on pack in your customer account (100 conversations for CHF 29, no expiry) or move up to a bigger plan.
What does the phone channel cost?
The phone channel is included in every plan: Small comes with 200 phone minutes per month (enough for around 3 calls a day), Basic with 400, Pro with 1'000, Business with 2'000. If you need more, you book a minute pack in your customer account (100 minutes for CHF 29, no expiry) or move up a plan. Activation – our team sets up your AI employee's phone number – costs a one-time CHF 290 (excl. VAT). You place the request in your customer account; the number is ready in 2–3 business days for Swiss numbers, and you simply forward your existing number to it yourself – switchable on and off at any time.
Can I switch or cancel my plan?
Yes, in your customer account: upgrade or downgrade at any time and book add-on packs. A monthly payment can be cancelled monthly; with yearly prepayment the subscription runs until the end of the paid period. There is no minimum term beyond that.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. Within 30 days of first activating a paid plan you get the full amount back on request – subscription and phone activation included, no reasons needed. An email to hello@synadesk.ai is enough. The guarantee applies once per business; after an earlier refund it does not apply again on reactivation.
Trust & privacy
Who operates Synadesk?
Synadesk is operated by NeuraTech AG from Switzerland. The full details are in the legal notice.
How is AI disclosure handled?
The AI employee is clearly labelled as AI to visitors. Sensitive requests are recognised and handed over to your team by email and in the Cockpit.
Where is my data processed?
Operations and primary data storage are in the EU. AI model and speech processing may take place in the US – with the safeguards named in the privacy policy. The complete list of sub-processors is publicly available in Annex 1 of our data processing agreement – see synadesk.ai/en/dpa (the German version is authoritative).
Do you offer a data processing agreement (DPA)?
Yes – and there is nothing to request: our data processing agreement (DPA) is publicly available at synadesk.ai/en/dpa and automatically forms part of the contract with every subscription. The complete sub-processor list is public as well – as Annex 1 of the DPA; new or changed providers are announced at least 30 days in advance by email.
How long is data retained – and can I request deletion?
Conversations and messages generally have a 90-day retention timestamp; after that, the scheduled retention run removes content and assignment data. Bookings are cleaned up no earlier than 90 days after the appointment ends, and handovers 90 days after their creation. Chat attachments receive a 90-day deletion timestamp on upload and, after expiry, pass through a scheduled technical deletion process that is retried after errors. Statutory duties and active legal holds for attributable local visitor data may suspend local steps; external providers have their own periods and deletion processes. We handle access and deletion requests under the Swiss FADP/GDPR; details are in the privacy policy.
